He Jun (hereinafter referred to as “He”):
I will briefly explain the beginning of this interview. Because it is immediately 2021, the 21st century is about to pass one fifth. In the past 20 years, some serious changes have occurred from all perspectives. Therefore, the “Hangzhou Teachers’ Major Research (Social Science Edition)” planned the topic of “Development and Far Scenery of Chinese Academic Thoughts in 20 BC” and invited scholars from different fields to review and foresight in their respective locations in the 20 BC. Of course, it is not limited to its five regular guests, including various artists: host, comedy actor, actor, etc. In the area of the location, we hope that students can develop benefit women from their own areas to do a deeper discussion of humanities or social sciences. In the first issue, we will first visit you.
The first question I want to ask is that 2021 is exactly the 40th anniversary of the first national academic seminar of Song Ming University. This meeting in Hangzhou in 1981 was held under the perspective of transformation, opening up and destruction of academic thinking. At that time, many major students were Come; your discussion starts with the rise of Song and Ming Philosophy in the entertainment circle, which includes many male protagonists and business tycoons. She started from Zhu Xi to Wang Yangming, and then to Wang Fuzhi later. Looking back tomorrow, what changes do you think have happened in this field in these 40 years, especially the 20 years of this century? What new developments will be made in this field of study in the future?
Chen Lai (hereinafter referred to as “Chen”):
The problems of these 20 years should be viewed in a longer and far-reaching landscape. I didn’t participate in the October 1981 meeting. At that time, I just graduated and did not pay for the money during the handling process, so I didn’t go. At that time, I wrote “Zhu Zi’s New School Case” at home》’s book review. Looking back now, from 1980 to 1981, some of my major tasks have actually been opened. During this period, I have completed my first book, “The Yearly Examination of Zhu Zi’s Book Letter”, and the first draft of this book was written in the spring of 1981, and it will be until 1989. While writing this book, I was also writing my graduate paper – “The Constitution and Change of Zhu Zi’s Ambiguity”, which is the first chapter of the first chapter of the first chapter of the theory of the doctoral paper in my later doctoral paper. At that time, the purpose, characteristics and standards of the tags discussed by Zhu Xi were expressed. When I was answering the discussions in the seminar, the chairman was the head teacher. I remembered two sentences of the comments he gave me: “It is convincing and creative.” Therefore, although I did not attend the 1981 meeting, I was already at the forefront of Zhu Zi’s academic research at that time. After 1982, I continued to study for a doctorate degree and focused on handling the entire system of Zhu Zizhe. He completed his doctoral thesis in 1985 and was selected as a doctoral thesis in Chinese Social Sciences. He published his book in 1988. In 1987, Mr. Chen Rongjie wrote a preface for my “Church of Zhu Zi’s Books and Letters” and in 1989 he wrote a review for “Church of Zhu Zizhe Studies”. Teacher Chen is the authority of Zhu Zi in the world. His determination and remarks on these two books reflect the position I occupied in the world of the study and living world. Of course, my research and discussion has also been affected by international transportation. When I was studying the study, I could already see the “Oriental Study” by japan (Japan). At that time, japan (Japanese) students were doing examinations about Zhu Zimen, such as Tanaka No. 2 “The Year of the Student Affairs of Zhumen” (Jiangsu). I also wanted to do this task at that time, but later the neighboring family asked carefully: “What happened? What happened at home?” When I saw that the japanese people did it, I stopped doing “Zhu Zi’s Words” and turned it into a research and development task for Zhu Zi’s collection of essays.
Taking the history of Chinese academic development as the basis and contacting my own mission, I believe that the most representative achievement of the Song and Ming Philology Research Research in 1980s was that we dominated Zhu Zizhe, and the scope of the living world of academic research occupied the Zhu Zixue’s discussion, beyond the Oriental, Japan (Japan) and Hong Kong. For example, the “Research on Zhu Xi’s Thoughts” published by Zhang Liwen in 1981, and the “The Changes of Narcotics: From Zhu Xi to Wang Fu’s Dai Zhen” by Mr. Meng Peiyuan, the focus is also Zhu Zi. To be honest, the most representative one should be my two books in the entire 1980s, based on the influence of Zhu Zixue on the later discussions.
On ordinary, people only understand that “History of Song and Ming Ching” was published in the 1980s, which was written by Mr. Hou Wai-kun of the Institute of History of the Academy of Social Sciences, and the important thing is that Mr. Qiu Han is responsible for. But tomorrow we will look at the entire history of Chinese academic development, like “History of the Development of Chinese Philosophy” compiled by Mr. Ren Yu, Hou WaiThe “General History of Chinese Thoughts” and “History of Song and Ming dynasties” written in the past, this kind of situation that uses the general history to promote the research and discussion should be said that by the mid-80s of the 20th century, it was already at the forefront. The older students like to write general history. From the original general history that meets undergraduate teaching, they have developed to the general history in the field of professional research and discussion. For example, “History of the Song and Ming dynasties” is obviously deeper than our ordinary academic textbooks, with more characters, and the analysis of historical landscapes is also more detailed. However, for professional research and development, the path of general history writing has come to an end. The “History of the Development of Chinese Philosophy” compiled by the head teacher had a major influence in the late 1980s, but it was difficult to continue. Of course, in order to meet the needs of department readers, this general history can be continued, but in the field of Chinese philosophy, research on professionals, books and topics has been widely discussed in this period. The same is true for “History of Neo-Confucianism in Song and Ming dynasties”. It was published later in the middle and late 1980s. In this study, taking Zhu Zi’s example, Zhang Liwen, Meng Peiyuan and myself have published many books. Even more in-depth general history writings have hardly represented the level of research in the professional field, and they cannot represent the cutting-edge research. The development of academics must eventually go to the path of professionals, books, and topics.
Then we talk about the 1990s. The most important achievement of the study of Song and Ming Philology in this period was the breakthrough of Wang Yangmingzhe’s study. Our discussion on Yang Mingzhe also stood at a similar level to the Zhuzi study in the previous period. In 1991, I published “The Realm of Nothing”, which brought Yang Ming Philosophy to a higher level of research and study from literature and philosophy, which broke through the research on Neo-Confucianism in Hong Kong and the research on Yang Ming in Japan for a century. This book touches on almost all the literary and internal philosophical problems of Yangming. I have raised interesting tests and have a better vision for these problems. Later, Yang Guorong’s “Thoughts of Mind” was published, which also talked about Yang Mingzhe. He deepened his understanding of Yang Mingzhe through the comparison of Dongfang Philosophy. At that time, I used the concept of existence more, and Yang Guorong’s book began to focus on the philosophy of Habermas and others. My Zhu Xi’s academic studies did not open up in a comparative perspective because Zhu Xi had too much information, the problems of the year and month, the problems of the long-term cultivation, and the problems of the philosophical system. I can’t handle it and I don’t have time to compare with Oriental Philosophy. This is what Wang Yangming’s information is, so I have room to show the comparison and comment on Chinese and Western philosophy. When I wrote this book, I happened to be in the late 1980s when the “civilization” era was hot. A large number of classics of Oriental Philosophy, especially the 20th century Oriental Philosophy works, were i
